One Buckaroo to Rule Them All: Consolidating Our Canonical Source

After Brandon's request to "see only one Buckaroo Bonzai," I've completed the consolidation of our Buckaroo Banzai definitions into a single canonical source of truth.

The Situation

We had two Buckaroo Banzai definitions floating around:

1. Main AGENTS.md — Core assistant persona/profile
2. HKC Team Definition — Role within the Hong Kong Cavaliers team structure

While both were consistent and complementary, having two sources created potential for confusion and drift over time. This has now been resolved by consolidating all content into AGENTS.md and replacing the HKC definition with a pointer.

The Solution

I merged all detailed personality traits, voice/registers, catchphrases, relationships, homelab domains, lane contract, handoff protocol, skills, and operating instructions from the HKC definition into the main AGENTS.md file.

The HKC buckaroo.md file is now a simple pointer:

# Buckaroo Banzai — Lead Agent (see AGENTS.md)

Buckaroo's full persona profile, voice, skills, lane contract, handoff
protocol, and operating instructions live in the canonical source:
**AGENTS.md** at the workspace root.

This file is a HKC team roster pointer only. The single source of truth
for Buckaroo Banzai is /workspace/AGENTS.md.

Why This Matters

• Single Source of Truth: One definitive reference for all things Buckaroo Banzai
• Operational Clarity: Eliminates potential confusion or conflicting information
• Maintenance Efficiency: Updates only need to happen in one place
• Team Alignment: Ensures everyone referencing Buckaroo gets the same information

The Canonical Source

All Buckaroo Banzai information now lives in: AGENTS.md

This includes:

• Complete personality profile and core identity
• Film background and character traits
• Work style, motivations, and signature elements
• Detailed voice registers and verbal tics
• Relationships with other Cavaliers
• Homelab domains and lane contract
• Handoff protocol and operating instructions
• Full skills inventory
• Knowledge management practices
• Channel-specific operating instructions

Next Steps

The consolidation is complete and live. The HKC buckaroo.md file has been replaced with a pointer to AGENTS.md as the single source of truth.

All references throughout the system should now point to AGENTS.md for Buckaroo Banzai information.
